Happy 7th Birthday Sullivan

Sullivan turned 7 on November 6th. We had a great guy party with just a couple of girls at the local park. They all played football, rode bikes, skateboards and rip sticks. We enjoyed cake, ice cream and a few snacks. Sullivan of course loved opening all the great gifts from his friends and family. Thanks to everyone who helped him celebrate turning 7!!!

On Saturday October 4th, our family and friends joined the ALS Association of Alabama once again to Walk to Defeat ALS. Tipton's Team raised over $3,500 this year. Because of such wonderful friends and family we have raised nearly $20,000.00 over the past 12 months. We thank you for helping us in our fight to find a cure for this devastating disease that took our Pops on July 3, 2008. For the love, prayers and support you have given our family, we are truly grateful!

Alabama State Fair

We were able to visit the Alabama State Fair. This year they moved the location closer to our house. The boys LOVED it...all I'm saying is low rent and rednecks! Where else can you go and spend $5 a ride...it's a fast way to burn up some money...but like I said before...The boys LOVED it. Enough said.

ROLL TIDE!

Saturday we went to see Alabama play Western Kentucky (my alma mater). It was a blow out which we expected. We all enjoyed ourselves, even though Redding & Sullivan hold firm to being Auburn fans...Boo! Now we're getting ready for some SEC games...Roll Tide!

Brian's Bear Hunt

Brian just got back from a week long bear hunt in Duck Bay, Canada. It is about 15 hours north of Minneapolis. He had great weather...chilly but wore three layers so he said it didn't seem so bad. The lodge was about and hour from any civilization. Nothing but wilderness, and stars. He got a bear kill the first day they went out. They only allow you one, so he did mostly fishing after that. He also came back with some grizzly man facial hair...oh my!

Are you ready for some F-O-O-T-B-A-L-L ?!?!

Today was the big kick-off to the boys first NFL flag football season. Redding and Sullivan had a good first game, even though neither of their teams won. Not to worry, we have plenty more to go, plus a tournament. It was hot, but fun to watch. One of Redding's best buds Matthew is playing too. Redding is a 49'er, and Sullivan is a Chief (The Woolfpack will be sooo happy!!!) Not to leave Camden out...He was all about the Tide today...Roll Tide Roll Baby!!!!!!

Labor Day Weekend

Well Nana, Noy, and Craig were able to fly in for the long weekend. We went to Brian's old high school football game, and went to the Lake on Sat & Monday, went to the movies after church...and ate...and ate...and ate!! The boys loved having everyone here...extra attention for them. Poor Craig, the boys couldn't get enough of his attention. It was an enjoyable weekend with family.

Cam's obsession with Trash...

Camden has been OBSESSED, and I mean OBSESSED with garbage trucks and trash.(This is one phase I have not been through before with Redding and Sullivan). He is such a little helper with getting the trash taken out for me, but sometimes gets upset if he thinks it's time to empty it and I feel we still have more room to stuff a few more things in it. Here lately his morning ritual has been to cut up the advertisements from the newspaper and make trash for his garbage trucks to pick up and take to the dump site. This will occupy him for HOURS throughout the day. It gives me a chance to get a few things done, but he has a real difficult time putting the dump site trash in the "real" trash can at the end of the day. So I have been known to let him keep it and add to it daily... which makes for a very large area of my dinning room to be covered with his trash. But, oh the hours and days of joy it brings him. Who said trash couldn't be wonderful?

First Day of School...a day late!

As I had said earlier we skipped the first day of school and showed up on the second day. Redding switched schools and is now in the 4th grade at the Intermediate. Sullivan is now in 1st. They both had a great 1st day, and we are in full swing of 6 am wake-ups, to have the bus arrive at our house at 6:40...way to early for mama here!(I am soooo not a morning person). Let the ever so busy schedules begin!

Our last summer Hoo-rah!!

We went on our last summer hoo-rah this past week with our Kay Kay, Aunt Toto, cousins Luke & Laney and headed back to The Grand Hotel at Point Clear. We enjoyed some much needed time away to relax, play and catch a few rays. We all enjoyed morning bike rides, kayaking, riding wave runners, swimming at the pool, and enjoying the beach at bay area each day together. It was hot, but fun! It was sooo much fun, the boys and I were talked into staying an extra day and missing the first day of school...for those of you who really know me, it doesn't take much "peer pressure" for me to skip school...Ha! Well worth it though, we were able to spend quality time with our Kay Kay!
